Cookies. Plainly written.
A small set of strictly-necessary entries of our own. No analytics. No advertising. No tracking pixels. Third-party embeds are listed below.
What are cookies
"Cookies" are small text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. The term is also commonly used to include similar technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage, which store data in the browser in a similar way. This policy covers all such technologies used by the site.
What we use
We set only the following ourselves, all of which are classed as strictly necessary:
jbu_lang(localStorage) — stores your preferred language so the site can route you to the correct locale on return visits.jbu_consent(localStorage) — stores your response to the cookie banner so we do not show it again on every page.
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, social-media tracking pixels, fingerprinting technologies, or session replay tools on this site. Storage set by third-party embeds you choose to load is listed below.
Third-party technologies
Some third-party services may set their own cookies, or store data on your device, when you visit the pages or open the embeds that include them:
- YouTube — the
/how-it-works/page offers a product-guide video. Nothing is requested from YouTube until you press play. Once you do, Google's privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com) loads, receives your IP address and the address of the page you are on, and stores playback data on your device: thelocalStorageentriesyt-player-caption-persistence,ytidb::LAST_RESULT_ENTRY_KEYandyt-icons-last-purged, plus anIndexedDBdatabase namedYtIdbMeta. It sets no cookies. See policies.google.com/privacy. - Cal.com — the
/book-demo/page embeds the Cal.com booking interface. Cal.com may set cookies required for their scheduling widget. See cal.com/privacy.
Our primary typography (Inter, Inter Tight, Source Serif 4, JetBrains Mono) is self-hosted — no request is made to any third-party font CDN for Latin-script locales.
Your choices
Because we only use strictly necessary storage, the site functions correctly even if you reject optional cookies in our banner. You can clear cookies and localStorage at any time using your browser's privacy settings. If you clear jbu_consent, the cookie banner will appear again on your next visit.
Most browsers also allow you to block cookies altogether. Doing so does not prevent you from reading the site, but it will stop us remembering your language choice.
To stop receiving marketing emails, use the Unsubscribe link in the footer of any email we send. You can also email us at privacy@joinbeus.com to be removed from all communications.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if we add new cookies or technologies — for example, if we later introduce an analytics tool that requires consent. The "Last updated" date below reflects the most recent change.
